5 good reasons to invest today in a KLAVIER-ROLLER:

1) Lower your transportation costs

A complete Klavier-Roller equipment costs approximately 20,000 euros; spread over 5 years, that comes to less than 400 euros per month for an unlimited number of deliveries; this figure divided by the number of deliveries each month gives the total cost of a Klavier-Roller piano removal, with no extra expense bills or bonuses to be added. What are your current transport costs? And over the next 5 years?

2) Preserve your health

Moving a piano "by hand" inevitably leads to serious lower back problems. The efforts and risks of this type of removal are long forgotten (and forbidden by law) in the building and goods transport industries. Klavier-Roller is the first device to provide a complete solution to the handling and transportation requirements of grand pianos.

3) Work with an infallible partner

Your concert services business depends on human movers, who may not always be on hand. A Klavier-Roller's 24-hour availability gives you autonomy and responsiveness. Your pianos are ready to go with a single handler; yourself, your tuner or one of your employees. And the delivery end will be trouble-free, as notwithstanding its size the Klavier-Roller can access 99% of all public spaces (theatres, halls, churches, etc.).

4) Keep your pianos in good condition

Scratches, cracked varnish and broken pedal lyres are the hard lot of pianos for hire. With a Klavier-Roller, your pianos sustain no damage. They are perfectly protected against shocks, knocks and vibration during transport; against damage during upending; and from bad weather conditions, due to their completely enclosing sock-like protective covers. With a surprising consequence: they no longer go out of tune during transport.

5) Do your own advertising

With a Klavier-Roller you provide the third feature of a concert. The public stays on to watch the piano be removed by a single technician using sophisticated equipment. You are remembered and are more likely to be hired again in the future, as our clients can confirm.

My opinion by Jeffrey Shackell:

Have any of the technicians in the states heard of a KLAVIER ROLLER?

There are examples working in Europe and I use one in the UK. The Klavier Roller system is a very clever and quite fantastic bit of kit that allows one man to move a full concert grand on his own.

As long as space permits, it will drive up flights of stairs and on to any height of stage. The complete procedure of rolling the grand over and back again is totally under control by just one man with virtually no lifting effort.

I have a fleet of Steinway D concert hire grands and the Klavier Roller has made such a difference to the way I opperate the business. If you piano moving teams don't have the Klavier Roller in the states yet - you should.

How much does that cost?

The cost here in UK pounds is about 13,500, so not a cheap set up....but well worth it in the long run.

Consider the cost of hiring movers over many man hours for say 5 years. It is not so bad when you look at it that way. The cost quoted buys everything you need to move a concert grand completely on your own. You get a special design shoe, a keyboard front box, the piano tipper, the two sets of motorised wheels, full sets of ramps.

The system is very well thought out and I can tell you from experience that it is a jaw dropping audience when they see you move a concert grand on your own after the concert.

I appreciate that for firms with lots of men on the payroll it may not seem so attractive, but for a small set up like mine it has proved invaluable where we have always found it difficult to get the labour needed to move concert grands. The klavier Roller is safe as well, there is no strain on the piano at all when moving.

As long as you keep the batteries charged up it will never let you down either saying 'I can't come into work today, I've got a bad back'
